Whimsical Flowers

Here's a gorgeous image from the Whimsical Flowers Clip Art collection.  This wonderful collection has 6 images for only $6.  I just love this image and decided to create a card using a reddish brown and yellow combination.
Check out all the other beautiful flowers included in this wonderful clip art set.  They would be awesome for the current challenge!

Chocolate Monsters - Susan R's Inspirational Post

Hi, Susan R here

Here is my inspiration post for you this month using an SLSLines image.

Today I am spotlighting the  Cute Monsters set.

I have made these into CHOCOLATE monsters...printing them on Desert Storm Neenah, cutting them out and just painting on some spritzed brushed corduroy distress ink to add smears of 'chocolate'.

I have made a chocolate monster pocket letter.

So each monster was made into an ATC, layered onto snippets of brown card, elements from a Kanban KIt, some wrinkle free distress backgrounds and some SU sentiments, these distressed around the edges with brown ink.

I have added a few more photos on my blog...

Don't forget the SLS Challenge each 20th of the month...

Beach Inspiration

Hello everyone!
Ovedia Therese is dropping by with a project to share with you.
This is the SLS LINES digital stamp I have used.

My mother needed a card for a friend of my parents who lives in Egypt.
I found this motif perfect
and apparently so did the recipient of the card.
He actually thought the motiv looked a little bit like him.

I have used Bazzill and Pion designs Shoreline Treasures.
This diecut combo is Spellbinders and La-La Land
and I tend to use it a lot on my projects.
The seashells are picket on the beach in Egypt.

Inspiration Post

Hello everyone..Genny here. I'm so excited to have become part of this fantastic team, I don't think that I've stopped smiling This is my first inspiration forgive me if I get it wrong or waffle on too much. I decided to work with wonderful image which is available from the Etsy shop here at SLS Lines. When I begin a project there is always a thought process..and it may begin with the image or sometimes it is with a quote that I have found. On this project it seemed as if both came together. I was looking at this image and thinking just how wistful she looked. There seemed to me that there was a sadness behind her eyes. And then I saw this quote. So it was as if it was meant to be. Another thought that struck me was that normally when I am colouring anything to do with the Day of the Dead I tend to use bright colours but somehow on this image I wanted to use pastel colours. So I did. The frame is from my stash and I covered it with this blue patterned paper, also from my stash. I coloured the lady with my promarkers, cut her out and added it to the frame. I finally added the quote.
I hope that you will enter the current challenge...I think a new one begins keep your eye on the blog. I have seen some of the fantastic makes by the design team and wow..what a source of inspiration in itself.
Well I'm off for a coffee and a scroll through the etsy store. So until next time..take care and happy crafting.

Snobby Lady

Here's a gorgeous image from SLS Scheibe today.  This stunning image is called snobby lady in her Esty store SLS Lines.  I wanted to make a fun spring card using this woman. I just love her hair. I added a simple die cut flower from Darice.
We will have a challenge starting on the 20th.  The upcoming challenge will be spring theme, so I hope this card gives you a little inspiration.

Cheers, Holley

Inspirational with Judy

I thought I would do an Art Journal page for my March Inspirational project.  I used this interesting pirate image for my art journal page, you can find this image in SLS Lines' Esty store and you can find it here

To create my page I used designer paper that I glued into my art journal book, then I added some white bubbles with molding paste and a stencil.  I also add a few more circles with a white Posca pen.  I coloured my image with Copics and gell pen then attach the image to my the art journal page.

I found a wooden anchor in my stash that I painted black and attached a jute cord to it and then attached the anchor and cord to the page.  To complete the project I added some gold coins
